MUFLL WEEK 4 PREVIEW

Week 4 in the Maritime University Field Lacrosse League sees the UNB Buccaneers (1-3) hitting the road for two games versus Dal (5-0) on Saturday and STFX (4-0) on Sunday. UNB lost a close game last week at home to Dal 15-9 and look to split the home-home season series. Alex Miller leads UNB in points (17).

Four-time defending MUFLL Cup champions Dalhousie Tigers look to continue thier strong play hosting the UNB Buccaneers tonight. Ricky Canning has 26 points thru five games and Louis Martin has 15 goals on the year.

The Mount A Mounties look to rebound after a tough 21-3 loss to Dal last week as they take on the Acadia Axemen Sunday afternoon. Campbell Demont (6) and Geoff Zed (5) lead Mount A in points while Spencer Betts leads the team in assists (3).

Acadia Axemen host Mount A Sunday with a balanced offence led by Gavin Quigley (9 points), followed by Luke Byrne (8) and rookie Chris Clifford (7). Acadia has 13 different goal-scorers on the year.

STFX look to sweep the home-home season series with UNB on Sunday. Both teams opened up their season back in Week 1 with the X-men pulling out the 15-12 win. Ian McShane is the top MUFLL point scorer, leading in goals (22), assists (12), and points (34). Jimmy Shea (23) and Connor Clarkson (19) balance out the offence for STFX.
